Missionary Update May 2016

Posted by Jim Welch on May 3, 2016 at 0:23 0 Comments

Greetings from Chiang Mai,

Well, I survived yet another year from Thailand’s first Buddhist celebration of the new year called “Songkran.” This year (over a seven day period) there were 3447 road accidents, 442 deaths, 3271 injured this was without a doubt the worst Songkran in a decade. The majority of all these mishaps were heavily influenced by alcohol, yet the mindset in this country “destiny,” kind of an…

Posted by IAN (WATTO) WATSON on May 2, 2016 at 13:11 0 Comments

Champions,

My Grandson Declan, played this to me on Friday morning while we were having a chat.

I said that Zac Smith may be a great example in his life for Declan.

Declan is playing in the u18 QLD side AFL over the next couple of months

And of course he would like to play footy at the top level.

I told him I hoped he could continue to hold fast with his faith and trust in God.

Hope you enjoy looking at this utube.

Keep on encouraging !

The difference a day makes

"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him and He will help you." Psalm chapter 37 verse 5.

An appropriate verse for this morning. We have started sowing feed for our cattle. Everything had been going smoothly. I thought I would spray a paddock Saturday afternoon and had the tank filled and was about to pull into the paddock when I noticed that the engine oil pressure warning light had come on in my spray truck. I switched the motor off and spent 4 hours that afternoon trying to…

Reflashing the Firmware

It's getting to that time of year where we are getting ready to sow some seeds again. I'm getting machinery sorted out to try and make life a bit easier. I've decided to use our old prickle chain to level out the ground after we sow our feed to level out the press wheel furrows and make it smoother to drive across during the year. I got an older tractor out to put on the front of it and decided to see if I could get an old EZ steer plus auto steering device working on it to reduce driver…

Lego and Masterpieces

Posted by Nick Ottens on April 14, 2016 at 16:30 3 Comments

I woke up at 3am the other morning, a heap of stuff going around in my head with everything I still had to organise for seeding. With the prospect of sleep having disappeared, I got up, grabbed my Bible and headed into the lounge room for some quiet time with my Creator.

As I sat down in a chair, I noticed some lego sets that had been rebuilt on the floor. I thought to myself how neat and tidy they looked compared to the jumble of pieces that they had been made out of.
