Making it Count - and being lucky

Posted by Nick Ottens on July 1, 2016 at 9:00 1 Comment

I've been reflecting on the election. I've had a few conversations with different people about it and am stunned at the level of indifference I see around me. At the future direction of our nation. A direction that could not be any more different between our two main political parties. While marriage…

Let go and let God!

How's this fit for you?

God's still showing me at 70

That his way is the best way.

I don't think we intentionally

Try to be a control bloke we just do what we have to.

We just go,go,go.

When the body is tired or sick

And we are In aplace where we can't do what we used to do.

It can be a great place cause we can talk to God more

And see what he has for us.

Wow!

Getting out of God's way and watching him go is… Continue

Talk to the King

Posted by George Johnston on June 22, 2016 at 16:58 0 Comments

He talked so much that the boy struggled to keep up. The man told him how he should speak to the King. You had to speak a certain way, use certain words in a certain pattern. The boy was not certain that he could learn the pattern.

Then one day he met the King.

When the boy actually met the King, the King told him that he did not care about formats and formulas. The king was just happy that the boy spoke from his heart. There was no special language to learn. The boy no longer…

Shelter from the storm

Posted by George Johnston on June 20, 2016 at 17:39 1 Comment

I survey the walk way after the rain

There is a thick line on the wall

Making it look like dirty bath tub

A flat sponge of weeds covers the path

My footsteps make a squelching sound

The drains protective metal cage is festooned with strips of turf

Like badly applied band aids

A Goal post pad has come from some distant field

where the game is definitely over

When the rain came this was not the path to follow

If you saw someone walking on the…

Psalm 139 V 14

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Treat others like you would treat yourself......But what if you think you are rubbish...No good....If you don't look after or even appreciate yourself how can you look after the needs of others.

I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

You can amaze yourself with what you can do. Not feeling confident in this? Remember the feelings of confidence come after the actions of Confidence.

I…
