A big group showed up at the Glenvale shed for a catchup, a feed, and some GOLD. A few locals decided not to put up the tarps (as rain was looking very unlikely) and fired up the outside barbques for steaks, snags, bacon and fish. G'day all. It's been a while since I logged on. On Wednesday evening, 19 locals met at the Glenvale Shed for a wonderful roast dinner with all the vegies, and desserts as well. Thanks to Alan Cox and friends for such a great effort.
Easterfest 2014 starts tomorrow morning in Queen's Park, Toowoomba.
The weather forecast is perfect this year and record crowds are expected. The Shed Happens tent is amongst the action, and Chad has given some young men the responsibility of planning and running the activities this year. I plan to be there with my teenagers and a camera. On Wednesday night, 20 men came to the shed for a good feed, good company and to hear Tim Lithgow's story. After flying Black Hawks for the ARMY, he took his wife to PNG, where they've been working for Wycliffe for the past 16 years. Tim had some good insights on leadership.
