SHEDNIGHT//SHEDHAPPENS

SHEDNIGHT // SHEDHAPPENS... for Real Men... champion sons of the KING OF KINGS!

SHED NIGHT // SHED HAPPENS is for MEN to support one another. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. Proverbs 27:17

After some heavy rain in the afternoon Shed at Albert & Logan was well attended, it was great to see many new faces. As normal the blokes getting the food and desert ready did a great job. We were fortunate to be in a very large farm shed out of the rain and cold thanks to the Current family. 4 Blokes told their stories each with a little gem for the blokes listening. God has a way of speaking into the hearts of men through the life of other men, and connecting us through common experiences as was the case last night again. Many things have the potential to trip us up in life, the trick is to be on top of your game and recognise trouble before it takes hold. One of our blokes shared something to remember. HALT acronym for Hungry- Angry- Lonely- Tired. These are times we can be venerable to attack and be tripped up. Good little things to remember when we feel down. I encourage you all to share any phrases that are worth remembering, it might just save a bloke from some unnecessary pain. Be drawn to the King that your heart will beat to His tune.

Cheers

G'Day Wayne... Champion effort on the report and, yes, vocabulary that jumps out and grabs us in times of challenge are important. You know we do it in sport all the time with words the blokes use on a consistent bases that inspires and it can be very useful in life as well, just like HALT.

One I use constantly is just the word "next" - it's not broken down into anything, it just means next. When things are challenging or I have experienced a let down, I just murmur the word next which reminds me just to get on with it.

Thanks again Wayne, Cheers JA

Thanks for that, Champion Wayne.

Seems I've heard that acronym somewhere before and I can't remember where and when.

Thanks for mentioning it here.

Cheers and God bless,  Dieter

Great update Wayne. That HALT acronym is a great little reminder to be aware of attacks. Keep firing the men in your shed. Keep sharpening each other mate. Awesome stuff! Luke
