SHEDNIGHT // SHEDHAPPENS... for Real Men... champion sons of the KING OF KINGS!

SHED NIGHT // SHED HAPPENS is for MEN to support one another. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. Proverbs 27:17

  • There's still room to join us this weekend for a fish at Bribie. View the brochure under Events, down the left hand side. The Bureau of Meterology forecast for the weekend is 10-15kts S-SE, mild with some cloud. The Toowoomba champions plan to arrive at the AFAQ cottage around 11 am on Saturday. Some of them are coming to catch their first fish !  If you want a hot shower and bed for the night ( 3 available due to cancellations), it's only $20 for men - or $10 for teenage students. Just let me know ASAP - phone numbers are in the brochure. I'll post some photos after the weekend.

Still waiting... :-)

And there are a lot of stingrays around everywhere - hooked up on a couple a few weeks ago. They were so big they towed the boat for 20 miles -- well, not quite 20 miles, maybe 20 seconds. Just wanted to get a story in before Ken blows us away with his suspense thriller.

Cheers, JA

It is a wonder, there was any bait left after the stingrays making all those holes there, Champion Ken.

O.K. Darryl. I'm at work and I've started typing the story during my morning tea break. Another 15 second ad to keep JA watching..... It has triumph, disappointment, laughter, surprise, some hopeless navigating, and the downfall of a guy that pushed himself just too hard. Sounds like the stuff movies are made of.... Are there any directors out there that could help me put a trailer together ;)

Ken, don't let work get in the road of a good fishing story. Darryl

that's just teasing everyone... :0) Now your running 15 second adds building the suspense. Better be a good report. (smile) Cheers, JA

I now have the photos ready but money now calls - I'm off to work soon. I hope to post my version of events tonight. In the meantime ('cos JA can't handle the suspense) here's a shot of us harvesting bait .....

Hey Ken - it's like one of those great sequels then - you build the suspense and then it flashes on the screen "To Be Continued..." - thanks for that :0)

Sound like the ebb and flow of a great life with God... it will continue.

Cheers,

JA

The Toowoomba champions are back ! We've been there and made it home, tired but content. We gave it our best, but the fish just toyed with our emotions. The weekend weather was as forecast and the historic AFAQ cottage we stayed in, was a gem. It's on Bribie's inside beach and the noise of the waves helped us sleep overnight - even with the snorers rattling the windows. Thanks to Aaron and his Bribie Shed men that came to meet us when we arrived - they warned us the fish were quiet. After a big weekend, I need an early night for an early start tomorrow. It'll take me a day or two to put a story together and upload some photos. Sorry, but it has to wait.

May your lines be blessed with many bites and not your skin... :0)
