Shed Happens Mackay is currently mourning the loss of one of our blokes, Lee Ahern, who passed away last Saturday.
Lee was a big man in both stature and heart who had a great sense of humour. Although he suffered terribly with several medical issues, Lee always had a heart for others. He would often ring other men up and pass on his love for their family and encourage them. He was an integral part of Shed, often interjecting during an interview with a poignant humorous remark.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we will not be able to attend the funeral, but our thoughts and prayers will be with the family as they farewell him.
We, at Shed Happens, would like to pass on our condolences to Lee’s family and we take great comfort in the fact that he is now in a better place, we’ll miss you mate, God bless.

A poetic tribute from me (Peter Harris);
Our time together was always sure,
To be one of laughter, good & pure.
I'll miss your joy & love that shone,
Though in my heart you're never gone.
I'll have fond memories of our time,
But where you are now, you'll be doin' just fine.
So Lee, my brother, we'll meet up again,
Where it is I know well, though it's just not when.
You'll be smiling now, where life's at it's best,
You've finished your race my friend, it's time to rest...
