SHEDNIGHT // SHEDHAPPENS... for Real Men... champion sons of the KING OF KINGS!

SHED NIGHT // SHED HAPPENS is for MEN to support one another. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. Proverbs 27:17

Greetings from Chiang Mai,

There’s smog here in Chiang Mai. That’s what I am used to calling it growing up in Southern California. Here it’s called “Air Pollution.” This time of year it is a bit “smoky” and Chiang Mai does sit in a basin. Most of the farmers here burn off their properties to ready for next season’s crop. Also villages burn foliage from the many trees here (my wife and I are included). In the month of March it is against the law and you can be fined. Mixed with the normal temperature in the mid-ninety’s (for this time of year) makes for the need for air-conditioning a blessing of which (yours truly) is not available. That’s right; I haven’t had “air” since I came here in 2005. Thank God for floor fans. Being that electricity is 220 over here (means it’s not very stable) you never know whether or not you might be without power. Then it’s find a window to sit next to and wait it out.

When I attended the School of Ministry (Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa) one of the many classes attended involved projects. I really enjoyed being engrossed in the many projects as part of the curriculum offered. With this in mind I offered to anyone attending (the Sunday morning bible study) an outline together with a commentary of the whole book (which happens to be John) that we are studying. Of course there are those who would rely on their own inspiration as they study the scriptures as for me I try to; Acts 17:11   11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.  So far it has been an interesting and revealing study. We are in John 19 and just two more chapters to go. This will be the first completed book I have ever compiled.

My health is about the same. The diabetes is tolerable. The numbness is constant yet there is very little pain. Please pray for a healing.

Thank you for the support and thank you for your prayers, your missionary/minister/chaplain serving in northern Thailand Jim Welch.
