Greetings from Chiang Mai,
Wan and I have safely returned to our home in Saraphi (Chiang Mai), had to recuperate for a couple of days. We heard that it rained just about everyday and I would have to agree after looking at the property which is heavily overgrown. You know growing up as a kid my older brother (Ted) and I made money mowing lawns. I never thought that I would still have the same job (minus making money) in another country and 71 years young. I have to admit our Lord prepares us for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
There are some things that you cannot be prepared for and that’s the loss of a Brother (or Sister) in Christ. While Wan and I were visiting in California, Brother Gordon downs went to be with our Lord. His recall of the scriptures was impeccable and he will be missed.
Recently upon our return PTA mentioned a family in Chiang Mai. I received an e-mail address from (PTA) for Pastor Brian Wood. I e-mailed Brian and he said he wasn’t sure where they would settle down. At the time of the e-mail they were in Europe and had given some thought to beach side areas such as Phuket or Pattaya.
Thank you to those who helped immensely on our trip recently; Jonathon & Natasha Iorga, Johnny & Martie Ethridge and to my Mother, Lois (who sponsored the whole trip). Thank you for your support and prayers your missionary/minister/chaplain serving in northern Thailand Jim Welch.
