So many of us at times may wish we had the opportunities that we see others have and fail to make something of and wonder why we did not have it. We may even get dirty on God for the lack of good things that we miss out on and others seem to get. ( If only they would change)
Could it be possible we have to learn a new way of looking at life.
I have learnt some things in recent years that were thrust into my path my normal blokes that have had the courage to speak into my hard heart, at first I was not all that happy to hear. It started simply when I chose to take the opportunity to seek out and spend time with men courageous enough to be venerable and share the guts of their battles and victories. I call them Gods Men living in VICTORY.
I have watched them when they talk with their wife and family, I have stood with them when they ordered a drink and had them show genuine interest in the person serving them in such a way to change that person’s life. I recon we all talk about making a difference in this world but rarely have what it takes to get on with it. I have learnt that as we make a choice to get fairdinkim we all have what it takes, not from our own strength but a endless supply abundantly and freely given as we have the courage to ask and take the opportunities in front of us.
I was fortunate enough to experience this again over the weekend and feel compelled to share it in the hope you may pass on the gift you have been entrusted with.
A few of the blokes in my shed had opportunity to go south to the BUSHED BLOKES camp in SA the past few days. We attended a coffee shop in nth Adelaide “Haz Beanz” for a feed and drink after getting of the plane from an early start 3am. Some of the blokes had been there a year or so earlier and the lady that owned it remembered them. We were mad very welcome, a noisy bunch of blokes and two with their wife’s. Opportunity came to talk with some customers as they asked what we were about after noticing our group. A comment was made that the shop could be extended to make room for our next trip when Denise the owner and Tegan made comment that they were extending, and business was growing and intended to open a second shop. Why am I sharing this? Because a year or so earlier one of the blokes had the courage and took the opportunity to ask permission to pray prosperity on this business simply and honestly as a blessing for the way they had been made welcome and looked after. I recon if you have the opportunity get in to Haz Beans and say hi to the 2 great ladies that run it and bless as you get blessed.
Thanks to the men in my shed.
