Phwar! I've been a bit of a stranger to the website & even more so entering a post or 2. Hope this one makes up for it & there's a nugget or 2 of gold in it for someone out there ;-)
I've never tried posting a pic before, however, this has to be seen to be believed.
At Easter, I visited my parents' farm & Dad asked if I'd seen his sunflower in the garden? Well, it wasn't a difficult job to find it LOL it's a "MUTANT" I tell ya. This sucker is over 7 ft tall or 2 metres for you younger blokes. I just had to take a "selfie" to post on Facebook. So, I did & never gave it another thought till I was checking out the comments on it.
All of a sudden, the Holy Spirit let rip with message after message.
First, He said, "You know that sunflower could NEVER have grown that big in a crop; it had to be separated from 'the crowd'." (For the benefit of city lads unfamiliar with the size of normal sunflowers in a crop, the one in the foreground of the pic is a good example.)
If you are walking with God, if you are standing on God's Word or promises (as I am for the resurrection/restoration of my marriage), if you wanta be the REAL DEAL (as Watto says), it often requires you to separate yourself from the rest of the the world's ways & thinking.
He went onto say, "That sunflower couldn't have got the nourishment to have grown so strong & robust in a crop competing with all the other sunflowers." You cannot get the nourishment from God's Word by hanging out with the crowd.
He then drew my attention to the pic with me directly under the sunflower.
He said, "That's you & God! He's hovering over you. AND just look at the amount of seed He is going to release upon you for you to sow." Luke 16:10 came to mind - “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.
I was genuinely stunned, a bit gob smacked, if you will! This is a powerful image for all of us taking a stand for God & His Word in this rotten & decaying world.
CHAMPIONS, SOAK THIS UP INTO YOUR SPIRIT!!
This is not just a message for me, it's for ALL OF US!!
The final pic then appeared to me as a crown. James 1:12 - God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Stand firm dear brothers for we ALL are champions of the King of King's & hope you got a "nugget" or maybe two heh, heh.
Luv ya guts & bless yuz all ey
